Club Calendar - Event View

This ride is open to riders of all skill levels. We will spend this ride focused on talking about and practicing Avalanche Safety. This is not an official avalanche awareness class and is not taught by certified trainers. The goal is to give you practical experience from Jon Ferrian and others who join to talk about best practices for checking the Avalanche Forecast, a morning pre-ride safety discussion, equipment discussion and testing, and then terrain navigation and some basic Transceiver, Shovel and Probe practice sessions. All riders will be required to have their own Avalanche Safety gear to participate in all CDS rides including Transceiver, Probe, and Shovel.
