HomeMick & Lee's Reecer Creek Ride

Cascade Drift Skippers have been on the road.

We finally got the correct combination of snow and good weather.

On February 11, Mick and Andrea Steinman & Lee and Shirley Koger led a ride from Blewett Pass. We were warned to get there early as the lot fills quickly. On a Saturday morning, you only have dreams of sitting with a cup of coffee and reading the paper.

The 9:00am published ride-out time was indeed an early start for those driving from Seattle. In any case, we had 26 riders on a 14 degrees, blue-bird day. We talked about splitting up the group, but we all were quite content with hanging together and enjoying the sunshine and great views.

We bagged 80 miles. It was a perfect day on the snow. It was the kind of day you dream about but rarely get when we are normally presented with wet, heavy Cascade cement. The groomed trail to the junction at the top wasn’t icy. Amazing.
